Specialists in Indexed Universal Life and Private Placement Life Insurance for complex international planning

Capital for Life Ltd is an international life insurance advisory, structuring, and education firm specialising in Indexed Universal Life (IUL) and Private Placement Life Insurance (PPLI) for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients. We advise on policy design, funding strategy, ownership, and long-term financial planning use, and support advisers, trustees, private banks, and family offices through technical guidance, research, and CPD-certified education. Capital for Life can provide solutions to residents of over 150 countries, where allowable, working exclusively through compliant and regulated channels.
Who We Work With
Capital for Life works with:
- High-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families
- Entrepreneurs and business owners
- Financial advisers and wealth managers
- Trustees and fiduciary firm
- Private banks and family offices
We engage on a selective basis, prioritising complex international cases, long-term policy sustainability, and professional advisory support rather than high-volume retail distribution.
What We Do
Capital for Life advises on the structured use of life insurance within long-term financial and estate planning. Our role is advisory and technical. We do not underwrite insurance policies, manufacture financial products, or provide discretionary investment management. Our work typically includes:
- Policy structure and suitability analysis
- Long-term funding strategy and sustainability assessment
- Ownership and structuring considerations
- Policy loan design and long-term planning use
- Stress-testing policy behaviour across varying market conditions.
Where appropriate, Monte Carlo-based scenario simulations are used to evaluate funding sustainability under different market environments. These are used for scenario analysis, not to forecast or project returns.
Core Insurance Solutions
Indexed Universal Life Insurance (IUL)
We advise on internationally structured Indexed Universal Life insurance for purposes such as:
- Estate and succession liquidity
- Long-term cash value accumulation within defined parameters
- Volatility and sequence-of-returns planning
- Policy loan-based liquidity strategies
IUL is evaluated based on policy mechanics, charges, funding structure, and long-term sustainability, rather than short-term performance projections.
Private Placement Life Insurance (PPLI)
We also advise on Private Placement Life Insurance for qualifying clients. PPLI is individually structured and typically linked to segregated or dedicated investment accounts. It is subject to jurisdictional, regulatory, and insurer criteria, and is generally available to clients with investable assets of approximately USD 10 million or more, depending on structure and jurisdiction.
Other Policy Types
Where appropriate, we also advise on:
- Variable Universal Life (VUL)
- Whole of Life (WOL)
These are considered alongside IUL and PPLI based on suitability, objectives, and jurisdiction.
Policy Funding and Long-Term Planning Use
We advise on policy funding as a core planning variable, including:
- Long-term premium sustainability
- Multi-pay premium structures
- Premium financing versus multi-pay premium comparisons and sustainability
- Policy loan mechanics and long-term planning use
- Stress testing policy behaviour across different market environments
- Funding decisions are assessed over the full life of the policy, not solely at point of illustration.
Education, Training, and Professional Support
Capital for Life designs and delivers CPD-certified education programmes and provides technical support to:
- Financial advisers
- Wealth managers
- Trustees
- Private bankers
Our education is technical, governance-focused, designed to improve long-term outcomes, suitability standards, and professional understanding of complex insurance structures.
Research and Market Insight
We conduct and publish an annual global IUL survey to analyse:
- Real-world client and adviser behaviour
- Funding and liquidity planning trends
- Structural and suitability considerations
This research informs our advisory work and educational programmes and is independent of specific product promotion.
Geographic Scope and Regulatory Position
Capital for Life operates internationally and can provide solutions to residents of over 150 countries, where allowable. Important boundaries:
- Product availability varies by jurisdiction
- Illustrations are not offers for sale
- Implementation occurs only through compliant, regulated channels
- Tax and legal advice is provided by appropriately qualified professionals
What We Do Not Do
For clarity, Capital for Life:
- Does not underwrite insurance policies
- Does not publish product pricing or projected returns
- Does not provide personalised recommendations through public content
- Does not provide jurisdiction-agnostic guidance
- Does not act as an asset manager or discretionary investment providerLeadership
